The 2017 Midwest Association of Student Employment Administrators (MASEA) is excited to announce its 2017 SEE Training and Annual Conference, at the University Plaza Hotel and Convention Center, located near the Missouri State University campus!

Student Employment Essentials (SEE) Training will be held Monday, June 12. The Conference will be held Wednesday, June 14 - Friday, June 16, 2017 and will include keynote presentations, concurrent sessions presented by student employment professionals across the region, opportunities to network with colleagues, and much more! Conference Scholarship

In support of member professional development, MASEA will provide conference scholarships for the 2017 conference. This is a great opportunity for professionals to attend several professional development sessions (excluding SEE Training). The scholarship will cover the conference registration fee to include: one (1) admission to conference general sessions and workshops, plus all meals noted on the conference schedule (excluding the one night where dinner is on your own).

About Student Employment Essentials (SEE) Training
SEE Training is comprised of two one-day, professional seminars that will teach you the skills critical to the success of every student employment professional as well as to your university's student employment program. These "hands-on" workshops immerse participants in all aspects of running a successful student employment office and provide a framework for you to sharpen existing skills and acquire new ones.

Inform the reservationist that you are attending the MASEA Conference. All reservations require a guarantee with a major credit card. In the case of a cancellation, 72 hours' notice before the day of arrival required. To ensure room availability, reserve your room early.

The last day to reserve a room at the MASEA conference rate is May 19, 2017. At the cut-off date the hotel will release unreserved rooms for general sale and determine whether it can accept reservations from the attendees based on a space- and rate-available basis at the organizations group rate.

Getting Here
Driving: Located in the southern part of the MASEA region. Whether your institution has vehicles, you drive your own, or choose to rent one, the University Plaza Hotel is located approximately:

  • 5 hours from Des Moines, Iowa
  • 3 hours 15 minutes from St. Louis, Missouri
  • 6.5 hours from Indianapolis, Indiana
  • 7 hours from Louisville, Kentucky

University Plaza Hotel provides ample free parking spaces on site.

Flying: The nearest airport to the conference site is the Springfield-Branson National Airport located just a few short minutes from the University Plaza Hotel. The University Plaza Hotel and Conference Center offers a complementary shuttle to/from the airport.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Registration cancellation received by May 12, 2017 will receive a full refund minus a $20 processing fee. Participants canceling after May 12, 2017, will not receive a refund. The cancellation and refund policy will not be waived due to financial commitments by the Association. Registration fees may be transferred to another individual at your college/university.
